The ‘real’ history of Twitter
Have you read The Business Insider’s “The Real History of Twitter“? You should, but with a grain of salt. The article offers a an alternate history of the how the fabulously successful social networking platform was created with a lot of help from “forgotten cofounder” Noah Glass. They also have a pretty lengthy interview with Glass.
It might look a little tl;dr, but the article is a quick, breathless read especially if you like your startup founders as mustache twirling victims and venture capitalists as innocent lambs. While the truth of Twitter’s founding can probably be found somewhere between the official history and this new “real” history, this is still worth your time. Though I will warn you, if you’re the eyeball-rolling type, at one point they talk about Glass being “‘a little hard’ on a girl named Crystal,” which makes it sound like he yelled at an eight-year-old. Girl? Really, Business Insider?
