Thank you for helping us Light the Night

042
As you know The Nerdery’s been raising money for the Light the Night Walk in support of our friend and colleague Bill Brown, who lost his son and wife in the last year, both to leukemia. We set our goal at $10k, and most people here thought it was a lofty goal, but we surpassed it with two days to spare, raising a total of $12,703.57.

Terri Dahlberg, who helped organize The Nerdery’s participation in the walk, said Target Field was impressive and that The Nerdery crew got to meet former Minnesota Twin and Hall of Famer Rod Carew, who presented the team with a plaque. Carew lost his daughter Michelle to Leukemia when she was in her 20s.

“I’m just extremely grateful to the employees of The Nerdery for their support – both financial and as participants – in our efforts to reach and surpass the goal of $10,000,” Terri said. “There was an abundance of team spirit and team pride present as we helped raise money to find a cure.”
